Notes
- While building your deck, E.T.C., Band Manager will feature an extra button beneath his card slot in the deck, titled "E.T.C's Band".
- Clicking on this button will open a new separate "sideboard" deck.
- The player can add any 3 cards to this sideboard, following regular deck-building rules, such as:
- Cards in the sideboard cannot exceed the 2-copy (1 for legendaries) rule when combined with the main deck.
- Death Knights must follow their chosen Rune types.[2]
- Once a card is picked to be discovered from E.T.C.'s sideboard, it is removed from there for the rest of the game. So if a player plays their E.T.C. multiple times, it can only discover the 3 cards they included in their sideboard once.[3]
- In-game, cards in the sideboard are not considered to be in the player's deck. This allows certain deck-related effects to be used in situations they normally couldn't be used in, such as including odd-cost cards in a deck with Genn Greymane or Holy spells in a deck with Darkbishop Benedictus.[4]
- E.T.C. is tied to the player, not the card itself. Copying or stealing and replaying an opponent's E.T.C. would pull from your own sideboard, which may be non-existent if you are not playing E.T.C. yourself.[5]
- If E.T.C. is initially removed with Souleater's Scythe, it will still be able to discover cards from the sideboard once added back to the player's hand.[6]
